Mobile Suit Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino will give a special lecture at Takarazuka University’s School of Media Arts in Tokyo, a department focused on the fields of manga, illustration, animation, video games and media design. Tomino will aim the lecture at college and high school students aspiring to enter the animation industry.
The lecture is free and will have a capacity of 120 seats, applicants can apply on the Takarazuka University campus event page. If the number of applications exceed the capacity, the spots will be distributed by lottery. The event will take place May 5th at the Shinjuku campus from 13:00 to 14:30 JST.
From storyboarding and writing scripts for Osamu Tezuka’s Mighty Atom, Yoshiyuki Tomino has become one of the prolific directors in the anime industry creating groundbreaking works such as Mobile Suit Gundam and Space Runaway Ideon.
